As the United States opened its doors, it announced the exemption of quarantine for foreign travelers who have been vaccinated and the news that they can enter the country.
On October 26, U.S. Western time, the news of "U.S. Tourist Visa Resumption Interview" hit the Internet. Many media have stated that this is the first time that the United States has re-released a large number of interview places for Chinese citizens after experiencing a "rest period" of nearly two years.
The U.S. Embassy and Consulate in China suddenly released a large number of appointment dates for tourist visas B1/B2:
️ The first optional appointment for the Beijing Embassy is November 15, 2021
️ The first appointment for the Shanghai Consulate is November 15, 2021
️ The first appointment for the Guangzhou Consulate is November 9, 2021
️ The first appointment for the Shenyang Consulate is November 15, 2021
The Chengdu consulate is still closed and not open.
Previously, the embassy had almost no open appointment locations. It is still uncertain how many places there will be, but basically starting from November 9th, appointments can be made every day. I believe that the full application of B visas will be resumed soon.
On Monday, Biden signed a new order:
From November 8, 2021, travel restrictions on fully vaccinated air passengers from 33 countries including China, India and Europe will be lifted.
In other words, under the latest policy, Chinese travelers holding valid visas (including F student visas, B travel visas, H work visas and other types of visas) do not need to detour a third country for 14 days and can fly directly to the United States. NS!
However, the airline must confirm that foreign passengers have been vaccinated before boarding the flight to the United States.
Implement new vaccine requirements:
Foreign air travelers provide vaccination documents from "official sources", and the airline must confirm the last vaccination time, at least 2 weeks before the date of travel;
International air travellers need to provide a new crown negative certificate within 3 days before departure;
Americans who have not been vaccinated and foreign citizens who have been exempted need to provide a COVID-19 negative certificate within 1 day of departure.
