The Director of the Malaysian Immigration Department Datuk Kailu pointed out that starting from November 1, foreigners with 14 valid long-term stay permits can enter Malaysia without applying for an entry permit or MyEntry permit from the Immigration Department.

He issued a statement pointing out that in addition to foreigners holding 14 types of long-term stay permits, foreigners with the following four types of permits still need to apply for an entry pass (MyTravelPass) or MyEntry pass through the Immigration Bureau system.

The foreigners of the 4 types of passes are:

‐ Social visit pass holders

‐ Long-term stay pass has expired

-Newly approved Employment Pass (Group I, II, III) / Talent Residence Pass (RP-T)/Family/Foreign Domestic Helper, and Professional Visit Pass--Expert

‐ Short-term business travelers

He also added that the immigration procedures for arriving in Malaysia still need to comply with existing immigration regulations and health screening and isolation conditions stipulated by the Ministry of Health.

14 groups of foreigners who are exempted from applying for a permit to enter the country:

‐ Diplomat (Exemption Order) / Dependents / Foreign Domestic Helpers

‐ Employment Pass (Groups I, II, III) / dependents / foreign domestic helpers

‐ Talent Residence Permit (RP-T) / dependents / foreign domestic helpers

‐ Professional Visit Pass-Expert (Pas Lawatan Ikhtisas–Pakar)

‐ Professional Visit Pass (Pas Lawatan Ikhtisas)

‐ Permanent Resident (PR) / Spouse / Child

‐ Long-term stay permit (foreign spouses/children of Malaysian citizens)

‐ Visiting Pass for Senior Citizens

‐ Visit Pass for Foreign Widows of Malaysian Citizens

‐ Student's Pass/Family/Entourage

‐ Second Home Plan (MM2H) Pass / Dependents / Domestic Helpers

‐ Pas Residen (Pas Residen)

‐ Temporary Work Pass (PLKS)

‐ Foreign Domestic Helper (PRA)
