Types of Work Visas

Application conditions

1.The applicant's request

①At least 18 years old, in good health and with no criminal record.

② Possess the skills or corresponding knowledge level required for their work.

③ The work one is engaged in is in line with the needs of China's economic and social development and belongs to the fields that are urgently needed and scarce in the country.

④ There is a clear employer within the territory of China and a formal labor contract has been signed.

2.Qualifications of the employing unit

① Established in accordance with the law, with no serious record of illegal or untrustworthy behavior.

② The position to be hired has special needs, there is a temporary shortage of suitable candidates in China, and it does not violate national regulations.

③Wages paid to foreigners shall not be lower than the local minimum wage standard.

④ Some industries (such as education, healthcare, etc.) require prior approval from the relevant authorities.

List of application materials

1.Personal materials

① A valid passport (valid for at least 6 months) and its copy.

② Personal resume (in both Chinese and English, including educational background, work experience, etc.).

③ Health examination certificate (issued by a designated hospital, valid within 6 months).

④The highest academic degree certificate and its translation (notarized or authenticated).

⑤ Proof documents of at least 2 years of relevant working experience (issued by the previous employer and stamped with the official seal).

⑥ Certificate of no criminal record (certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad).

⑦ A recent color photo without a cap (prepared as required by the local embassy or consulate).

2.Enterprise materials

① A copy of the company's business license.

② Organization Code Certificate (if applicable).

③ A copy of the legal representative's ID card.

④ Articles of Association.

⑤ The formal labor contract signed with the applicant (clearly stating the job position, salary and benefits, contract period, etc.).

⑥ A job invitation letter issued by a Chinese enterprise (indicating the position, job content, salary and benefits, etc.).

Application process

1.Apply for the "Foreigner Work Permit"

Online application: Log in to the "Foreigner Work Management Service System", fill in and submit the "Foreigner Work Permit Application Form".

Material review: After the initial system review is passed, print the application form and sign to confirm.

On-site submission: Submit the paper materials to the Local Human Resources and Social Security Bureau or the designated service window and wait for review.

After the review is passed, the "Foreigner Work Permit" will be obtained.

2.Apply for a z visa

① Online appointment: Log in to the website of the China Visa Application Service Center and select the nearest visa center to make an appointment for the application time.

② Fill out the visa application form: Fill out and print the "Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China" online and sign it.

③ Submit materials: Go to the visa center at the appointed time to submit the materials and keep your fingerprints on all ten fingers.

④ Payment of fees: Pay the visa application fee (the amount varies depending on the type of visa and nationality).

⑤ Collect the visa: After the approval is granted, collect the passport with the z visa affixed.

3.Enter China

① Enter the country with a valid z visa and cooperate with the border inspection.

②Within 30 days after entry, take the "Foreigner's Work Permit", passport, physical examination certificate, etc. to the Exit-Entry administration department of the public security organ to apply for the "Foreigner's Residence Permit".

Precautions

1. Authenticity of materials: All materials must be true, accurate and complete. False information may result in visa rejection or legal liability.

2. Timeliness of materials: Health examination certificates, criminal record clearance certificates, etc. are usually valid for six months.

3. Completeness of materials: Bind, number and affix the official seal as required to ensure the materials are standardized.
