With the implementation of favorable policies such as mutual visa exemption and 144-hour transit visa exemption, many Chinese and foreign tourists choose to open a "two-way" cross-border tour in the summer. This summer (July-August), the border inspection authorities across the country guaranteed a total of 110 million inbound and outbound travelers, with an average of 1.779 million inbound and outbound travelers per day, an increase of 30% over the same period last year and 13% over May and June. The highest daily entry and exit value was 2.237 million inbound and outbound travelers on August 24, reaching 97.2% of the historical peak.

Among them, mainland residents made 553.81 million inbound and outbound visits, up 28.1% over the same period last year; The number of inbound and outbound visits by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents reached 44.032 million, an increase of 27.6 percent over the same period last year; The number of foreigners entering and leaving China reached 10.89 million, up 52.8% over the same period last year, and the number of foreigners (excluding border residents) entering China visa-free reached 1.957 million, up 117% over the same period last year. Border inspection authorities across the country inspected 5.64 million entry-exit transport vehicles (ships, columns and vehicles), an increase of 32 percent over the same period last year.
