On the morning of May 22, the 14th U.S.-China High-Level Dialogue on Tourism was officially held in Xi'an, and the Shaanxi Foreigner Service Platform, which is invested and operated by Datang Domain (Shaanxi) Holdings, participated in the meeting. Sun Yeli, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, presided over this dialog, Chen Yiqin, State Councillor of the People's Republic of China, read out the congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping and delivered a speech, Grant Harris, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce, read out the congratulatory letter from President Biden and delivered a speech, and Zhao Yide, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), attended and delivered a speech.

　　This high-level dialogue aims to further restore and develop tourism cooperation between the two countries, create better conditions for mutual visits by tourists from both countries, and is an important manifestation of the implementation of the San Francisco Consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries and the Five-Point Consensus of China and the United States, which is of special significance to the stabilization and development of China-US relations. Representatives of the two sides made speeches on “Tourism for Humanistic Exchange between China and the United States”, exchanged opinions frankly and deeply, and held a signing ceremony for projects of localities, organizations and enterprises in China and the United States. In addition, the two sides also held seminars on “The Present and Future Tense of China-U.S. Tourism” and “Inbound Tourism Facilitation and Diversification of Experiences”. The two sides emphasized that tourism is an important bridge for civil exchanges and an important force to promote the development of the relationship between China and the United States. The two sides will further strengthen tourism cooperation, expand humanistic exchanges between the two countries, increase direct flights between the two countries, adjust travel reminders, facilitate visa applications, etc., so as to provide a more convenient and comfortable travel environment for tourists of the two countries and promote the prosperous development of the tourism industry of the two countries.
