First of all, let me tell you about several common types of foreigners applying for permanent residence. There are the following 6 types:
1. Investors-foreign investors with a minimum investment of USD 500,000 in China (in a specific area);
2. Personnel-foreign personnel who have served as senior managers or deputy senior titles or above in key enterprises, universities, research institutes, etc.;
3. High-end talents-foreign high-level talents, foreigners who have made major outstanding contributions to China and are in special needs of the country;
4. Reunion of relatives-reunion of husband and wife, reunion of parents and children, and reunion of relatives of the elderly to reunite foreign personnel;
5. Income meets the standards-foreigners who have worked in China for 4 years and whose annual income and personal tax meet the relevant standards;
6. Foreign Chinese-Foreign Chinese who have worked in key areas within China for 4 years or have a doctoral degree.
Today, I will focus on the sixth type, the foreign Chinese applying for permanent residence in China. Compared with the past, the application for permanent residence in China has been gradually relaxed, and the scope of foreigners who can apply for permanent residence has been further expanded.
After applying for permanent residence in China, Chinese foreigners can enjoy higher treatment than ordinary foreigners.
Exclusive treatment for foreign Chinese permanent residence:
1. Not subject to entry restrictions during the epidemic prevention and control period-visa-free, free entry and exit of China with passport and Chinese green card (still need to be isolated and observed in accordance with local epidemic prevention regulations);
2. Realize family reunion-spouses and minor children can also apply for Chinese green cards;
3. Free work and legal employment-there is no need to apply for, extend or renew work permits for foreigners (except for certain industries);
4. Earning money at home and spending abroad-income earned at home can be remitted abroad according to law;
5. Enjoy national welfare-can participate in China's social security, can deposit, use, and withdraw provident funds; children who move with them can enjoy compulsory education;
