Up to now, the number of foreigners holding work permits for foreigners in Yiwu has exceeded 8,600, and the number of holders has ranked among the top in the province for six consecutive years. Since the implementation of the pilot until June 23, 609 foreign holders have been recognized as business talents.

　　Yiwu and the Global more than 230 countries and regions have trade relations with Yiwu. The daily average number of foreign business people in Yiwu has exceeded 28,000, accounting for about one-fifth of the total in the province. To build a full-chain ecosystem for attracting, cultivating and retaining foreign business people, taking the opportunity of deepening the comprehensive reform of international trade, Yiwu launched a pilot program for evaluating foreign business talents in September 2024 to attract more foreign business people to invest and start businesses in Yiwu.

For example, enterprise chairmen or legal representatives whose enterprise sales volume is not less than 50 million yuan and annual salary is not less than 600,000 yuan can be evaluated as Class A talents; foreign investors who have continuously started businesses and worked in Yiwu for 2 years or more, and whose enterprises drive the employment of no less than 2 Chinese employees and participate in social insurance can be evaluated as Class B talents.

　　It is learned from the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau that for those included in the Directory of Scarce Occupations (Job Types) in Yiwu City, the relevant subsidy standards will be increased by 30% on the basis of the subsidies for the same type of occupations (job types).
