With the continuous deepening of China's opening up to the outside world,  foreign activities such as exchanges, tourism and business in China have become  increasingly frequent. To facilitate the visit of foreign friends to China,  China has implemented a series of friendly policies, including unilateral  visa-free access. 1.Which countries' personnel are eligible for the unilateral visa-free policy to  come to China?

Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Malaysia,  Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand,  Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway,  Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, South Korea,  Bulgaria, Romani Persons holding ordinary passports from 47 countries, namely  Asia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, Japan,  Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, as well as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait  and Bahrain, which will be implemented from June 9, 2025, are allowed to come to  China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits and  transit for no more than 30 days Visa-free entry is available.

2.Is it necessary to make an advance declaration for coming to China under the  visa-free policy?

Foreign citizens who meet the relevant conditions can enter China visa-free  without having to go through the declaration procedures with Chinese embassies  and consulates abroad in advance.

3.Do I need to bring any other materials besides my passport when  entering the country?

Those whose purposes for coming to China comply with the visa-free policy  can enter the country after being lawfully inspected and approved by the Chinese  border inspection authorities. However, it is recommended to bring along the  invitation letter, air tickets, hotel orders and other supporting documents that  are consistent with the purpose of coming to China for verification. It should  be noted that people coming to China for work, study, reporting and other  activities are not eligible for the visa-free policy.

4.Are there any special requirements for minors to come to China  under the visa-free policy?

Without special requirements, the conditions for minors and adults to apply  the visa-free policy to China are the same.

5.Are there any requirements for the types and validity periods of  entry documents?

One must enter China with a valid ordinary passport, and the validity  period of the passport should cover the itinerary in China. Holders of  non-ordinary passport documents such as travel documents, temporary documents or  emergency travel documents are not eligible for visa-free entry.

6.What should I do if my stay in China exceeds 30 days?

If you plan to stay in China for more than 30 days, you should apply for a  visa in advance at a Chinese embassy or consulate abroad that is consistent with  your purpose of coming to China. If one needs to extend their stay in China for  reasonable and legitimate reasons after entering the country under the visa-free  policy, they should apply to the exit-entry administration of the public  security organ for a stay permit.
