According to a report by Uzbekistan's ipaknews.uz website citing the
country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 13, the inter-governmental visa
exemption agreement signed between Uzbekistan and China in Chengdu on December
1, 2024, has completed the domestic approval procedures for both sides. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan stated that according to the
provisions of the international treaty, the agreement will officially come into
effect on June 1, 2025. This agreement regulates matters related to visa-free travel for citizens
of the two countries within the territory of the other country. According to the
agreement, citizens of the Contracting parties are exempt from visa requirements
for each entry, exit or transit, with a single stay not exceeding 30 days and a
cumulative stay of no more than 90 days within every 180 days. It should be particularly noted that the duration of stay within the
territory of the contracting Party after each entry shall not exceed 30 days. If
you need to stay for more than 30 days, you should apply for an entry visa in
advance. The visa-free policy does not apply to work, study, news interviews and
other activities that require prior approval from the competent authorities of
the other party.
