China-Central Asia Mechanism secretariat launched in Xi'an

On the morning of March 30, the launching ceremony of the Secretariat of China-Central Asia Mechanism was held in Xi 'an, Shaanxi province. Representatives from China and five Central Asian countries attended the launching ceremony.

At the ceremony, representatives of the six countries jointly cut the ribbon and unveiled the secretariat of the China-Central Asia Mechanism, announcing the start of operation of the secretariat. Last May, the China-Central Asia Summit was successfully held in Xi 'an. All parties agreed to speed up institutional improvement and set up a permanent secretariat in China. In less than a year, China and Central Asian parties have translated the consensus on the establishment of the secretariat into reality, fully demonstrating the efficient and pragmatic features and advantages of the China-Central Asia mechanism.

Wu Yingqin, Executive Director of the Secretariat of China-Central Asia Mechanism, said that based on the cooperation needs of all parties, the secretariat will lead the active work, step up the establishment of rules and systems, fully implement the outcomes of the summit and the important consensus of the heads of state, serve the China-Central Asia Summit and Foreign ministers' meeting, promote cooperation in key areas, and promote China-Central Asia cooperation to continuously achieve new results.

The launch of the Secretariat of the China-Central Asia Mechanism marks a new and important step in the building of the China-Central Asia mechanism and once again demonstrates to the international community the firm determination of the six countries to work together for development and cooperation.With the joint efforts of all parties, the China-Central Asia Mechanism and its secretariat will continue to develop and improve, boosting high-quality cooperation between China and Central Asia.
