Since the lockdown, passengers from other cities and provinces have been temporarily stranded in Xi’an. Considering the number of daily new cases has been sloping down and positive signs have been seen, Xi'an Covid-19 Prevention and Control Headquater published measures for leaving the city on January 11, 2022.

The evacuation is for those who are not permanent residents of Xi'an but have been stuck in the city because of visiting relatives and travelling, seeking medical service, working in logistics, transition, etc.

Restrict the evacuation of personnels in middle and high risk areas and districts/development zones. For others, it is strongly suggested not to leave Xi'an unless it's truly necessary. For those who have to leave the city, approval from the street administration office/town, 48-hour effective negative Covid test result, and green health code are required.

A. Those who meet the policy's requirements should submit an application of leaving to their community/village;

B.Community/village should primarily review the application;

C. Street management office/town should give a final review to the application and provide the leaving certificate.

For street management offices/towns not commissioned by the development zone, the leaving certificate shall be provided by the Covid Prevention and Control Headquater of the zone.
